Born 1949 in Braunau / Inn (Upper Austria), after school and military service (last rank: captain) student at Innsbruck University, 1974 diploma in teaching profession for Latin and History, since 1974 professor at Braunau Gymnasium, since 2000 headmaster / principal of this school.

Studies about local history - since 1993 head of the Braunau Society for Contemporary History - and history of WWI - together with Dr Fritsch publishing a documentation on the actual situation of Austro-Hungarian War Cemeteries built during WWI in Western Galicia / Southern Poland.
